That is 5 sites for about 14 of us. I bet Jay's dad brings a camper and they will probably set up on another site. That would give us 6. That should be more than enough I would think. Good work boys... Now we can talk Food! Petey

Looks like we are taking up the riverbank, or hill side if these are where I think they are.. I noticed someone made a couple posts earlier in this thread. Dont want to jinx it, so I wont mention his name, but are we gonna see a certain cane bendin, lip rippin, bulldog rootin, low country stirin curmudgeon from down south make it up this way at the start of next month..? ;D We can handle the rain ole buddy. I would think so. Especially if you guys are bringing the camper and Jays boat.
I will bring the splints, gause and medicine in a bottle encase anybody decides to go break a hand.

Thanks for your concern but now that Mitroutbum is not going to be there ,maybe I'll be OK. It was his fault wasn't it ? Maybe it was mine, but he's not here to defend his self. Maybe we can use the medicine in a bottle regardless. Whauoosen

Well if MTB is going to be there, I guess I'd better leave the good sticks at home and break out those filtered peachy swisher sweets ;D

R-man; It's not a bad ride to the Caney from Hot -lanta. Shoot up I-75 til you get to the TN state line then hit I-24 west. The go up and over the ridge cut down into Chattavegas. ( bout 4+ miles). Then look to exit right onto 27 north. The sign will read 27 north Downtown/ Lookout mountain/ Market Street. You will cross the river and stay on 27. Twenty miles after you cross the river you will cross the lake . Start moving to the left lane and then follow hiway 111 towards Dunlap. 111 will become a 2 lane after you leave the Sequachie Valley. Stay on 111 once you get to Spencer it opens back up to a 4 lane. You will be on 111 for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. You will see I -40 come up to exit left before you get to Cookeville. Take I-40 west towards NashVegas. you will be on I-40 for about 20 miles when you start down a long downhill grade. at the bottom of this 3 mile grade is the Buffalo Valley exit on the right . Take it. At the bottom of the ramp take a left. Stay on this road for a few miles and then you will come to a 4 way with a little store/ gas station on the right. turn right. Then just follow the signs to Center Hill dam. Go over the dam and take the first road to the right to the camp ground. The camp ground is at the base of the dam. Should take you a little over 3 hours. Only takes me 2 from Dalton GA where my son lives.
