Hello friends and fellow anglers.
I spent today guiding on the Clinch River. It was a trip with Blackberry Farm and some of their staff. Low and behold, Stretch is the lead chef there and is award winning in fact. We spoke for a few minutes in between trying to put our sports on fish. Anyway, it got me thinking.
So I took a look this evening and I be damned if we're not approaching a ten year anniversary here at the ETFFF. Next month will mark ten years since we started our little corner of the web. There's been a whole lot of conversation here about a whole bunch of fishing and some about everything else.
We've had a few heated arguments and somehow ended up with a couple of banned accounts. But for the most part our forum avoided any of the major fireworks that we've all seen on other boards.
There's been many times when I have been too busy to post, or even lurk much. There's also times when the traffic picks up. We used to get a lot of traffic when we held fly tying contest. We also see a lot of traffic when we try to plan events. I know that can be a huge headache for everybody since we live all over the south.
I suppose I'm getting a little long winded here and seem to be rambling. I should get to the point. I'd like to propose a meet and greet in the Knoxville area sometime over the next few weeks or in January. I remember once several years ago when we did this and it was a fun way to say hello. Call it a small anniversary party where we can have a few drinks and eat some grub.
Anybody up for something like this?
Thoughts?
