We all know that ole Petey only own`s 1 Boo and surly you remember what happened( "Snapper" )to it. .And all this time I thought we were Brother`s and now I will have to quit posting in the Bamboo forum because I feel Bad BOO Karma ;D.Hope I don`t have to sell off all my Boo`s to save em. Maybe it won`t come to that .

Wait , Wait , Wait !!! Marshall ..... Mike has the best interest of the Boo newbie in mind.. You see by adding Petey to the forum as a moderator, Rocky has now covered the whole Cane spectrum for the Boo newbie who is seeking knowledge. First we have your knowledge of specialty "How to fish and love your Bamboo " Second my area of expertise " How to fish, restore and enjoy the History of Bamboo" And thirdly Rocky offers Petey's area of expertise " How to fish and bust your Boo all to crap "... ;D Two Cents,........Tentwing

Well aren't you two boys just a screaming riot! How about I won't step on your Boo toes as long as you guys keep it civil. Basically I am just the keeper of the peace. I just make sure no riots get stirred up between you bunch of fanatics over there. Consider me crowd control! ;D Now be off with you back to your boo! Petey

So, there really are a few caneaics over here. I told Ralph he was probably wasting his time, that there just weren't enough converts in this part of the world. Since I'm a rodmaker I'll just have to see what we can do about fixin' Petey up with another boo that just won't be able to put down and will love so much that he won't have the heart to let it get 'busted'.

Bill; Petey has a 1934 Jay Harvey Jefferson. It was made by Heddon for the old E.K.Tryton Hardware company. Its the equivalent of the Heddon #35. Its a 9 foot , 3 piece HDH. Originally suited for 6 weight, I think Petey cast it with a 5 weight. I restored it for him, and built him an independant handle , so he could use the handle ,the mid and the tip as a 6 foot 10 inch small stream rod on days when a 9 footer was to much rod. It is a really smooth casting stick with medium slow but very deliberate casting stroke. And yes there are enough Cane-Heads here , and enough poeple with interest to start a pretty good little ground swell. Dous Centavos,.................... Tentwing

Well gentlemen. Petey was recently promoted to global moderator position. He fit the criteria pretty well seeing how he''s usually always lurking on the site during the week....when I can sometimes be away from the board for several days. SO I needed someone to keep an eye on things just in case some post about "investing in offshore africa" or "prescription strength viagra" popped up. And to my knowledge....he's never snapped a rod.....bamboo or graphite....while using a keyboard. So rest easy guys and continue to discuss your boo's without the fear of the snapper ;D !

Gary, Surley you don`t think this is going back to the old day`s of ole, Deputy "Petey" with one Bullet in his shirt pocket . Heck, he proubably lost his only bullet when he fell in and Snapped his Boo ;D. Canewrap, Yep, there are a few Boo Heads arround the south east that post here, although all my canes are older production rods H I/Southbend with 3 or 4 Heddon`s thrown in the mix and 1 Phillipson.I`m not a collector,,just love to fish em .

Marshal; Either you and I are getting old, ...... losing our touch,.... or Petey is just slowly becoming IMMUNE to us . ;D Man whats the world coming to two old farts cant even ruffle the feathers of one young fireball . Bill, Like Marshal , most of my canes are older/ classic rods. A stockpile of high end Heddons, a couple of Orvis rods, a couple of Leonards, a few Grangers , ( Goodwin Grangers and Wright & Magill ) ,a really sweet E.C.Powell Hollowbuilt, and maybe a dozen or so others leaves me with more cane than fishing time; but I really do like each of them for their own specific feel. The old slow smooth action tapers seem to be what I prefer best. ............................. Tentwing
