Just remember one thing. When youve tied on every fly in the box and are having no luck,,reach in there and tie on the ugliest fly in the box.Thats right...... A Pink Harlot ........ It will save from the skunk everytime. ;D . . Good luck this weekend on a pretty Dang techinical river and let me know how you enjoyed casting that sweet little Boo.

Riverman's 90 day skunk proof disclaimer ( Spoke quickly and in monotone) The afore mentioned 90 day "skunk proof" rod guarantee shall remain intact under the following terms and conditions only . Said guarantee applies only to trout on designated trout waters. A valid trout stamp and or license must be on anglers person at all times during use of the guaranteed rod. Proper Bamboo etiquette must also be maintained while using said rod. The pinky finger of the casting hand must be extended during the casting motion and may only wrap fully around the cork handle after said cast has been made fully onto the surface of the water. ( Anything less is poaching ;D ) Also only legitimate flies (i.e. Prince nymphs, Royal wulffs, Pheasant tails etc...) Tied by authentic tyers ( Fly man, Hugh Hartsell etc..) are acceptable. Use of any knock - offs, so called original patterns or junk flies will immediately void the above guarantee. Use of Marmot flies will be OK but they must be tied by Jay himself. No Marmot knock offs will be permitted Absolutely under no circumstances will any of that junk by Varmit, Petey ,or Tentwing be permitted. ;D Even having any of their crappy flies or knock-offs of their crappy flies in your box while fishing said rod will result in cancellation of the above guarantee and immediate placement on probation with the governing bodies of Cane ( aka Riverman, and Dick Davis) .................. ;D

Looks like Tentwing pretty well covered the bases but did leave out one that I can think of.. If your caught with this in your vest, car,or even at home,it automatically voids the Skunk guarantee and you will be black listed permanently from the "Royal Order Of Tweedsmen". > < > < >

The boo did well for me on the first outing. I caught 12+ fish in a little over 4 hours on the South Holston. After I got the feel for the rod down, it cast very well. I was amazed at how much line I could throw when I needed to. There was very little action on top of the water yesterday, so I was casting a two nymph rig with a yarn indicator most of the day and the rod did very well. I did not throw the pink harlot, I used a quasimotto pheasant tail and tied a sall brown midge of my own design behind that. It was a great day and the rod was very cool. I am not sure that I will completly give up on my "plastic" rods but the herters definately has a permanent place in my quiclky growing rod collection.

Chad, My gut feeling was you were gonna love that rod and it sounds like you did.A two nymph rig on the first time out casting it,Wow i`m impressed. It usually takes people longer to adjust to Boo,expecially casting weighted nymphs. Oh yea, about the Skunk guarantee...You shot that all to H e Double L the first trip. ;D
