Welcome to the product review forum guys!
This forum is set up for people whom have used different kinds of gear during fishing, camping or just enjoying the outdoors and have opinion on whether they like it or dislike it; express it here.
Tell us why you do or do not endorse the product, it's plus and minuses, whether you like to use it or would you rather ditch it in the river.
If you use a piece of equipment and become offended by a person's personal review of a product you use, you are welcome to tell why you agree or disagree. Just no personal attacks. Opinions are what they are, opinions.
If you have a question about a product you don't see reviewed ask it. Somebody on this board may have used or are using it now and can give you a personal account of the product before you go throw down a c-note or two, or three or, well..... you get the picture.
I am anxious to see what peoples opinions are of the things they use. There is so much out there in the fly-fishing world that it is hard to use it all. This will allow us to better judge the items we wish to purchase and warn people from purchasing something that may not be up to snuff.
Tentwing had a great idea with a rating system in an earlier post, so I am going to steal it!
Here is a rating system we can all use:
[glow=red,2,300]Stinkbait[/glow] - The product is so bad that you would pay the maker of it to take it back.
[glow=red,2,300]Plastic Worm[/glow] - The product is functional, but nothing to really brag about or look at. Kind of like your mom's meatloaf.
[glow=red,2,300]Wooley Booger[/glow] - A not too flashy but really good workhorse of a product. Kind of like the old man's old Ford F150. Gets ya where you gotta go and does the job.
[glow=red,2,300]Elk Hair Caddis[/glow] - Great product from top to bottom with good craftsmanship. Usually best bang for the buck.
[glow=red,2,300]Royal Wulff[/glow] - Great product with great craftsmanship. It doesn't get any better than this. Something you like so much you want to call the maker and thank them for making it.
So there it is... have fun and enjoy.
