Good Post NGFly!
Gotta a couple of questions about those shoes. Do they have rubber or felt bottoms? Also, I see they come in whole sizes. If you wear a half size would you size up or size down? Usually with most boots I will size up because of socks and neoprene waders.
Yeah it seems maybe Meatloaf wasn't a good comparison. Everybody is fond of there mother's meatloaf...... I am going to have to maybe come up with something different!

They have felt pads on the bottom. I would also recomend going with a size bigger if you are norm a 1/2 size. One thing as with all felt boots and shoes. If you get on a pretty good incline you might wanna make sure you have a tree or branch pretty close. Believe me you will take a ride. NGFly

I have a pair of Redington high water shoes that look the same and like them for wet wading. They still get rocks and sand in them after alot of walking. Petey, I wear a size 10.5 shoe and bought this wading shoe in size 11 and it fits good with the neoprene sock. Catch ya later. Sanman

A note about half sizes... I recognize the logic of ordering a size up if you were a half size. After all, the thickness of a neoprene sock should take up the slack, right? Not always so! I wear 10.5 and in the Orvis ultralight wading boots (the ones HI Outfitters had on sale this spring) I wear a 10 and not an 11. Melissa is getting me the Orvis Silver Label waders for my B-day next week. They come with Orvis Clearwater boots. I tried them on, with waders, and the 11s are too big. 10 was just right. From my experience, too large a shoe is dangerous on the stream.

I have also wore the Orvis ultralight wading boots in the size 11 and they fit fine. Only problem I had with them (two pair) the ridge in the back of the boot on the inside wore out my waders quick, real quick had to get rid of them to save my waders. But you can not go by me because I fish too much and don’t give my equipment time to dry out sometimes. At least now I can wet wade unless I am down river in deep water. The wading shoes I have now are half size bigger and I have to soak them in advance to be able to get them on. Catch ya later. Sanman
