I picked a Scott SAS 7wt 3pc last spring to do some salt water fishing down in Destin. After returning I picked up some Scientific Angler sink tip line. The line is a Wet Tip Express 275 grain. This line sinks at about 6-8" per second. Anyway the Scott Rod has a fighting butt and makes for an excellent rod for fishing streamers when TVA is running water. It has a real stiff back bone and can throw lots of line, even against the wind. The rod has a black matte finish, which is one of my personal favorites, is trimmed in electric blue/black thread at the ferrules. This rod is not longer made and has been proceeded by the AS2. It sold for roughly 255 dollars when made. It came with a life time warranty, which has been used. The only complaint I have with this rod is that when loaded with the heavy sink tip line the furrules did not stay seated. I had then ends of the female section of ferrule crack and then had to wait 6 weeks for turn around when I was told it would take only 2-4 weeks. I have since used candle wax to help keep the ferrules in place and to keep them from slipping. If it had not been for the long turn around I would have given this rod glowing remarks. But that kind of stuck in my crawl. This rod for the price and ability is a nicely tied Elk Hair Caddis. Petey
