For the money Huggies can't be beat. Though the occoasional leak will occur, especially if full to the brim. The semi-velcro fastners don't hold as well as Pampers Swaddlers but they do the job as long as you don't get them too tight. The Pamper Swaddlers are the best out there. Never experiemented one leak, nor will the fastners become unfastened. But there is a price to pay and it is steep. I find the Huggies to be the better diaper for the money. If we didn't so many I could justify buying the Pampers, but with as many diapers as a new born goes through Huggies is definetly the way to go, at least in my Wifes opinion!!!!! Elk Hair Caddis all the way! Petey

That's hilarious. As the father of three with the last becoming potty trained in the last several months, I feel your pain and offer this advice, as a child grows, the brand that fits best and leaks the least will change and each child will be different. When we had two in diapers at once and they were similar in size but different brands, I thought I would lose my mind. Maybe I did...

Petey; Great job! ................. And the part about " no Leaks"; Thats great news. No Leaks, and they gotta be cheaper than any of the "no leak " waders out there. Only one more question,......... When he falls in the water with them on,.. Will GrayGhost' butt swell up with water so big that Riverman and I cant pull him out of the river?? ;D ......................Tentwing

Petey - I would agree with the Huggies. Now I rarely "go cheap" on something as important as diaper leaks, but in Alcoa behind West Cherolet their is a wholesale grocery store that sell "generic" diapers made by Huggies. My 17 month old is in size 3 and I get 144 diapers for 14 bucks. I swear they are the same Barney stamped, Elmo printed diapers you buy wrapped in the Huggies bag for twice that, and best of all NO LEAKS!!! The store is called DRS and I make a trip over about once every 2 months and get 4 bags......2 forus, 2 for the sitters.
Check them out, or let me know and I'll buy you your first bag as a congrats gift!! ;D ;D
Great thread by the way!!
Congrats to you Rocky as well!!

Jeez Petey,
I know you're on the small side, but I really thought you'd have to wear "Depends" at your age! ;D

When the kid finally starts sleeping through the night, give Huggies Overnights a try. IME, they are the hands-down best at long-term pee containment--but only for situations where mobility is not an issue.
