I bought one of the new collapsable stripping baskets made by William Joseph. I love it. It saved a lot of aggravation in the boat on sunday. This is truely a great product for the oarsman. Anybody who has ever been on the oars knows how hard it is to fish from the middle seat, witout hanging your slack line on you anchor release, cooler, your foot or any other implement. This is the answer. When you stand up to cast just pull the basket out of the belt ,strip line into it and go to fishing. When your'e ready to row again, just collapse it out of the way, and you are set to go. I give this product and Elk Hair Caddis.

Petey, I bought mine at the fly fishing expo in Charolete N.C. last year. It was 35 bucks. I've not seen them at LRO so you would probably have to order it. Another fly shop might have them but I've not saw them.

Jay, funny thing tonight. Marmot was over here and was looking through my Cabelas... looks at me as says "You know that W&J stripping basket you were looking for?" I said "Yeah, what about it?" He said "Here it is." Funny how I have looked through that magazine a couple of dozen times and never saw it till he pointed it out. Plain as day, right in front of my face. Funny how that is where things are when I go to look for them and can't find them. Petey

i looked at those at Carolina Mountain Sports in statesville, n.c. and was impressed. i liked the way the push in out of the way. alot of stripping baskets work but guys dont like to wear them because they are bulky and cumbersome. i believe these would be user friendly. think i'm going to get a couple for the coming year
