Checked with the folks at the Lilly Barn today and spoke with the owner as well. The Flame Azalea cabin is available for the weekend of 3/31-4/2. 4 wheel drive is recommended mostly because the road going up to it has issues when it freezes and then thaws, so this should not be a problem for our weekend. She would not recommend towing drifters up there and she said there would be no problem leaving them at another place on their property (like the chapel parking lot). She stated there are 11 total beds, some are queen/king. One big bunk room has 7 single beds. It is $325/night, two night minimum. I did some quick math. Tax is 13.25% Total tab for 2 nights would be $736.13. With 12 people at 2 nights (divided 24 ways) that would be $30.67/person/night. Here's a link to the cabin www.lilybarn.com/flame_azalea.html

Good work Robb. From a sleeping standpoint and privacy standpoint. Sounds like something that would be right up our alley? Thanks for heads up. I am still waiting on a couple of more pieces of information to filter through. How do you guys feel about the Lilly Barn? If you guys have any concerns now is the time to voice them. Here is where the Lily Barn is located in Townsend. It is approx. 5 - 6 miles and probably 10 minutes from the Smokies. The cabin is the red star on the map. Petey

Basically, you turn left at the Phillips 66 station and go 2-3 miles down that road and it's on your right.

I have no problems with that! As long as it has a fridge and a stove and a table to lay the food on it'll be grand! Heck a table ain't even required ;D

If it is anything like the last time, you'll have to dig through the fur and feathers just to SEE the table.

Varmit, my wife says my brain is full of useless information. What she doesn't understand is I store it for times such as this. That is one of the funniest things I have ever seen, or one of the most disturbing. I can't decide which. Petey

Yeah I saw that Hazel trip. That will be a fun trip DD. While we are going to have a blast, I am also envious of you guys going over there. I know several of those guys and have done a group trip with them last fall. They are a good group of guys. You and your son should have some fun. Take some pics, and be prepared to write up one of your great stories upon your return. I will take some Woodford in your memory. Petey
