Chad we have yet to do anything as far as reserving a place to stay. Have you stayed at the cabins you suggested? They look good to me and appear to be right on the water. It appears at least two cabins possibly three will be needed. I can go ahead and reserve one, if we can get another person or two to step up and reserve another one we can go ahead and get that done. Kyle, Hooligan and fisherman seem to be synonymous. I surely hope Hootie can find it in his powers to make it for this fine adventure. On a side note, I will be starting a new job on Monday and therefore all of my vacation time will be resetting as well. So I am going to try to be there for Friday night, but I will not be up there for Friday fishing. Petey

Mens, I'm a lookin forward to it. The Army career reaches it's end next week and I'm in the mood to fish a mountain stream to celebrate. Been tough to get on the web outside of work and the weekly 500 miler to Ft Knox and back to family. I fully intend to be more frequent on the forum next year. Next week I start working for the Campbell County Chamber of Commerce....so be prepared to hear shameless advertising for some of the southeast's best outdoor experiences. I've got a crazy notion about advertizing the Clinch River "Triple Slam" to an even wider audience even though the dam is the county line. Won't really matter though if TVA continues to compensate for the Kingston mess by running 2 gen's full time at Norris. I'll be looking for plenty of 'business consultation' along the lines of that discussion at the Frostbite. God Bless and see you there!
E.L.

Have we nailed down a location yet? If so how much will we need to throw down to help pay for the blessed event?

I think Cherokee was settled on Varmit.
Petey and Chad were working on the arrangements if I'm not mistaken. Then again, I could be wrong.

Oh yea,
The cabins that were mentioned are $75 a night from what I hear and will sleep 3 comfortably and can do 6 if you don't mind being cozy.

I have contacted the people at Ol Smoky Mountain Cabins about reserving one. I left her my name and number. I am waiting for her to call back. As of right now I have Rocky, Marmot and Jay shacking up with me. My suggestion is that some of you guys get together and group up and reserve a cabin. Flick since Jay is only coming up for Saturday evening and your only going to be up Friday evening you welcome to crash on the floor with us. I was going to bring an air mattress for Jay. It is a queen size. Just bring a sleeping bag and pillow. I have no clue about the actual size and layout of these cabins. I will ask more questions when I get the people of Ol Smoky Mountain on the phone. I will post what I find out when I find it out. Petey

It didn't take long for Betsy at Ol Smoky Cabin to get back with me. I have reserved cabin #4 the 20 and 21 of Feb. There are 6 cabins on the water. 1 & 6 are already rented for that weekend. So lets go ahead and get the others done. Each Cabin has a bedroom down stairs with a queen and two bedrooms upstairs with a queen in each. Each cabin has a full kitchen and living room with cable. They require a deposit for the first nights stay. My deposit ended up being 82 dollars and some change. Check in is at noon on Friday and check out is going to be at 11 AM on Sunday. If you have your own large frying pan and need one to cook, bring it. She says she can't keep large frying pans around. Petey
