It is time to get out the thermals, pack your best cold weather gear, get out your favorite winter time bugs and head for the mountains. This years annual Frost Bite will be held along the Raven's Fork. We will be staying from Feb. 20-22. Our intentions are for all of those who are going to sign-up to do so, that way we can get cabins rented and a place to stay squared away. As we get numbers we will start to reserve cabins. We are planning on staying at the KOA which is on the banks of the Raven Fork, and has a few cabins that are directly on the water. At this time we can also discuss meals and food preparations. So git signed up and come git frostbit! Sign UpPetey Tentwing Rocky McDaddy Clincher........., and Varmit ( Friday and part of Saturday ) Flicker ( friday) Jay ( Saturday) Marmot ( aka Karma Daddy ) ...and Jermz makes ten ;D Brad

I am in. I have a customer who does business with some rental companies in Cherokee. He is going to get me some contact information on some cabins near the trophy section. The KOA is nice, but I am not certain what their policy on trash-can sledding is. We might be better served with some more isolated accommodations. Just a thought. Chad.

This is the place I found.
Ol' Smokey Log Cabins Cherokee, NC 828-497-6922
The have 5 cabins available for the nights we are looking at. Each cabin has 3 beds and could sleep up to 6 people if you wanted to doulble up. The rate is 75.00 per night per cabin. I have not seen these cabins, but I will try to get some to check them out for me. There are not alot of options available for that time of year, most of the cabins have closed for the winter. I am open to anything, whatever the group decides. If we have a large enough group prehaps we could take all of the cabins and this quite a fling. Let me know what I can do to help. Chad.
