With 4 kids and a busy wife, I have to reeeaaallly plan ahead. So I present the topic of a Fall Fling for discussion to this esteemed board.
Place suggestions: Caney, SoHo?
Month: I would think October
camp or cabin?

I could definitely do a Caney or SoHo/Tauga trip. I am all about doing some camping. I can do Cabin, but really like the whole camping experience. If we end up doing the SoHo area, where should we camp? I am guessing there are some reasonable cabin rentals in the area. I really hate that River Ridge is no longer around. That place was the coooool. Petey

I'm down. Camping or cabin is OK with me. Not sure how the Cumby has been fishing, but I'll toss it out there too. They have plenty of camping there.
I may be a boat owner by then too, make sure you all have your running lights on. ;D

Unless a flurry of voting happens in the next day on the when thread, it looks like we will be on the SoHo Tauga on the Oct 24th weekend.
When I have gone to the area in the past I have always stayed at River Ridge. I ,sadly enough, have not been there since RR closed.
Does anyone know the options for camping or lodging now that this classic is gone?

I'm in if it stays on the 24th. I'm in need of a bluegrass guitar lesson, Varmit.
