I'm afraid, my friends, the difference has less to do with the week's time and more to do with the difference between W. Kentucky and UCLA.
That said, I was heart-broken, too. Let's look to the next one, boys.
Speaking of "what's up with that," T-dub, what he heck is up with the Georgia-S. Carolina game? It's now a 1-point game only because of a blocked extra point?!? Sorry. Still don't care much for former Fla coach.

Thom; I would get used to the UGA roller-coaster if you plan to watch them this year They have a very impressive and long list of very young , unbridled and very undisciplined talent . Mark my words the Bulldogs entire season offensively will be marked by flashes of Brilliance bookended by flashes of Stupidity and Defensively...............well lets just say they other than Renny Curran have none So in short every lesser talented but more disciplined team that comes along that has even a mediocre Defense will beat them There is light at the end of the tunnel. If this season is as miserable as I think it will be there is a good chance that all the calls to fire Willie Martinez will at last be heeded As for the Vols loss to the Bruins what bothers me the most is that from the point of view from my couch it just seemed that a lesser talented PAC 10 team wanted it more than a greater talented SEC team. This bothers me because the one constant in the SEC has always been the desire to win. The Vols have always been known for having their fair share of that desire. I hope the coming of Coach Kiffin doesn't tarnish that. Now don't get your hopes up Petey...........I'm still as big a Dawg fan as ever , but as a bigger SEC fan I understand that what is bad for TN is bad for the SEC the East especially, so I do want good things for the Sherbeteers that is at least until they play Georgia ............Tentwing

The win last week was a team not as good as it looked. The team this week is not as bad as it looked. You MUST be able to pass to hope to be able to run. Until the Vols get at least a mediocre QB, this will be the norm. Though he would never admit it, I bet in a private moment, Phil was grinning real big yesterday.
I LOVE my Vols...but the trip to the swamp against the gay-tors is gonna be ugly early and often I'm afraid.............

T-Dub, I watch EVERY SEC game I can tune in. Somethimes that means going down to the local casino's sports book, taking a comfy seat, and having a cool libation while watching that game that I just can't get at home. I'm like you in that I'll always cheer on a SEC team when they play out-of-conference. 'Cept for Fla. maybe. I've got to REALLY dislike the Fla opponent to do that. USC might fit the bill. I fear that both you and Varmit are right-on. This may not be the best season for my favorite SEC teams. But it'll be a good year for some SEC teams. But with the view from a long ways away comes a degree of detachment. And hope for the future. There's always next year.

Watching the first drive from each team in the Fla. game. HARDESTY! What a running back, what a man. This is starting to look good. ;D The "D" for Tn is lookin' good, too! .............. (Later) Okay. So it didn't work out in the end. Still it was encouraging to see the Vols run the ball with some success. It could have been much worse than it was, but we're still at 1-2. To T-dub: See what you mean about the UGA rollercoaster.
