Hey everbody!
My name is Richard, I live in Maine but really want to move to eastern Tennesse in the very worst way ASAP.
Spose I been a flyfisher for 40 years now; remember getting my first rod, an 8 weight at age ten when I lived in Jersey where nobody fly fished!
Oh well, I have enjoyed flyfishing in Maine since moving here 25 years ago but now the fishing has not been very good for many years now... I mostly fish the Kennebec and spose I'm locally famous for it to some extent (for what it's worth which ain't much) but the past few years runoff has been bad, high water and poor hatches and our season is very short.
Looking to live near the Cherokee tailwater but have to sell my place here and have an extreme foot surgery in two weeks so I don't have to wade with a peg leg.... gonna be in bed for at least twelve weeks.
Hope you all continue to post here and have enjoyed lurking on this site for quite a while.
Sorry this is so long... looking forward to fishing with any of you who enjoy fly fishing; I fish stripers to brookies here and hope to do the same in Eastern TN.
I have two jet boats, one inboard tracker and one outboard tracker... not much for rowing a drift boat (bad shoulders)... my inboard is now stored in Sevierville with a freind. Runnin skinny water with a jet is better than a Disney ride.
Been a tyer for forty years too.
SO, keep me jealous with your fine adventures in TN until I can have some of my own... with luck I sell my house here and be able to walk some time in May.
Best of luck fishing... remember that you'll never know if you don't go...
