OK folks 6 possibilities. Hopefully it will be cool ( camping ) weather but not cold. Managed to avoid Turkey Day and Halloween ( just barely ) Put in your votes early as I will be closing the poll on Sept 11th just in case we have to put up another poll to decide a tie breaker Hope everyone can make it even if it just for one day. Eric ; I am not certain of the destination right now . I have heard rumors that it would be on the South Holston. I hope those rumors are true. Maybe Petey or Varmit will chime in and let us know if any arrangements have already been made at the Meet-N-Greet , and if not then we will post a poll , so everyone can vote on a place. .........Tentwing

Well Eric ; It looks like from Varmit's post that He and Petey had thought SoHo between his and Sean's votes and mine and your's looks like we already got 4 votes for the Soho which is probably more votes than we got in last years poll . ............So i say we go for the quick decision and say it will be the SoHo and that leaves us also with the option of having the Watauga close by too. If anyone has other ideas please post it, because things are still open for discussion ,....but as of right now it's gonna be on the South Holston this year. .............Tentwing

OK Fellas; Been talkin back in forth with Eric and looks like we're gonna get the folks over at Fly Addicts to come join us at the Fall Fling. Sounds like this could be "epic " enough that we might even get Varmit fired up Ya'll vote for which dates fit you best, and we'll start working on a head count. Eric may have an inside line on a cabin too. I enjoyed the one we stayed in last year ,but we don't know what our numbers are gonna be yet , so we will keep all our options open for now. And Eric just so we don't offend anybody from Fly Addicts ,.......me and Varmit both promise to chew with our mouths closed at the Fling supper after we're done fishin. ;D Tentwing

Just a heads up.. my fall is looking crazy. I am not going to vote, because I am not sure even the weekend I would pick I could attend... I will ride shotgun on this and work around what is decided...

Not to sway anyones votes on dates for this yearly event, but I, as is Petey, am very limited on availability. The first weeks in October and November are really the best dates for me. Any other dates may limit my time. I have a princess who has a birthday one weekend, and another week in which I will be with my whole clan at our cabin in North Carolina. The only upside to that is I will be fishing some pretty DH water during my stay in the high country. Having said that, I will be there whenever we have it...if only for a day.

Soho/Watauga at peak fall colors- ain't no better. Good excuse to drive to Lake Watauga just to fetch some pictures and just stand there and witness. Last fall fling was enough to make a man dream for another year- even with my backup rig (packing list note to self) Chunky bows and browns are the only remedy I've ever found for a back shed bama whuppin'...sho-nuff made life more tolerable. I promise to honor the slot limit this year and eat only qualifying salmonids.

Okay...here I am a moderater/bouncer on this forum and I can't figure out how to change my stinkin vote. The third weekend in October is good for me as well. After confering with my event coordinater I learned that it is the weekend of the 15th that we will be at our cabin in carolina.

I don't think there is a way to change it in the poll, But I reckon posting your intentions will work fine
