Day 3... Started out at the Wedding of the Waters in Thermop. Alex did some legal work for a buddy of his (a guide) and part of the payment was taking the both of us down the river on a couple guided trips while I was out there. Monday was cool about 30 degrees and ended up warming up to the 50's. We put on at 8:30a. I had a 44 oz cocktail poured to start it off. I didn't feel bad after all I was on vacation and don't get to do that much anymore with all the kiddos!! Needless to say I had the fifth gone when we stopped for lunch at 1p Floated til about 5 or 6p and took out at the 8th St. Had a few other boats on the water which is unusual especially for a Monday on this section of the BH. Descent day for the "Horn" though. I wouldn't complain. Ripped some streamers, but most caught on sow bugs, red V-ribs, and an occasional San Juanie. Let me put a disclaimer in here. Some of you know how big I am. Alex is 6'5" so we kind of make the fish look smaller that the "average Joe"... Big Bro with the 1st fish of the day The 2nd fish (Brownie) of the morning and no that's not a band-aid. It's a strippin guard ;D This pig was a wide football & w/ his kype, but b/c of the abundant food sources available on the Horn would've been close to 30" on any other stream Great day and nothing like smokin a few Cohibas on the river and a few pulls from the flask with Gentleman's Jack
