Another day of snow... We walked out his backyard and looked down at the Lower Shoshone. That's enough to make you sick it'd be like walkin out your backdoor and havin the Holston, Metcalf Bottoms, or Watauga at your feet Fishing was slow, but had 20's & 22 black midges coming off. Water was off colored from the warmer weather earlier in the week. Spent 4 hours on the river. I was nymphing and Alex was swinging streamers. We both only landed 1 each, but he had lots of bumps on the sz 8 black & red lite bright bugger. Called it a day and had an epiphany that felt sole wading boots were not my cup of tea in snow. Doesn't help having a sz 14, but the snow just compacted on the felts. Maybe time to go with a new pair of Simms and the new rubber Vibram soles
