Guys, it was a pretty nice day and I just had to try out a spring creek to see what was going on. Little Black Stoneflies were hatching and so were Smoky Mountain Blackbird Softhackles ;D Here's a couple to tease your interest with. All wild and all bows. Hugh Hartsell---East Tn. Young fingerlings were everywhere today. I could hardly fish for them. I hope that all of you got out today.

Hugh, Glad to here the spring crrek is fishing well. I still plan on getting up there soon. I can't see the pics because I'm behind a firewall here at work, but I am sure they are beautiful. Those are always the most beautiful fish in the park. How is the water level? Did you happen to check the temp?

Jay, the one that I fished was running at about normal winter levels and the temps were about 43 degrees. I fished the one you're probably thinking about on Tue. It was in good shape, but crystal clear. The fish were very spooky. The best conditions would be a cloudy, dreary day or slightly stained from rain. Have a good one. Hugh
