Most of the time I just throw the gear in the car and go. Then I figure out were I'm going to go on the way there. If I'm alone! ;D

There's a lot to be said for that attitude. If you live close to water like you do. GOOD water is about 4-1/2 hrs. away for me, though. Hard to be spontaneous when that's the deal, 'ya know?

That stinks! It takes me 10min to get to the nearest trout waters and a door step to the nearest smallie water. We need to hit the water some time.

I'd like that. I've got friends in Erwin and Flag Pond, so I'll eventually get up your way. I was going to try to make it to Tennessee this summer, but it looks like my summer's gonna get eaten by a class I'm taking.
Is that smallie water the Nolichucky, by any chance?
