Had a chance to get out for a few hours on Saturday while staying in gatlinburg on a weekend family trip...the weather of course was perfect all week - right up until sat. when the rain moved in friday eve and though it wasn't a gully washer, upper little pig was pushing faster than I'd like it. But since I only had a couple of hours, I'd figured the best bang for the buck was a slam so I managed a brook and bow up high ... (Rain+fog+humidiy= unsharp pics ) and then jumped over below elkmont for the brown. The water on little river wasn't as affected by the earlier rains. I had to wet wade though because I had left the waders at home, but 56 degree water isn't so bad after a while.. The weapon of choice was a #12 foam para adams and though I was hoping to see a better hatch down low around elkmont, but was just some sporatic caddis, couple gordons, and some midges... Anyhow, was a brief, but great day to finally get out and air out the line...
