Went up to Cataloochee Creek on Sunday. I fished from around 1 - 4 pm. The fish were rising pretty good, and some Light Cahill's were hatching.
I caught about 8 rainbows. Most were 8-10 inches, but pretty chunky fish.
There were a few monster mayflies (if I were to tie them, it'd probably be on a 6 or 8 hook) hatching, but the fish didn't seem to be eating them. Anyone know what they could have been?

Could have been one of the drakes (green, yellow, brown) or if it was about the size of a humming bird it may have been a Hexagenia. They all hatch about this time of year. Was it a tan or pale yellow in color?
