Hi ETFFF,
New to the board but old to fishing. I started bait fishing with my Dad back in the 50s, then bass fishing in the 70s, and just started fly fishing the last couple of years (it was on my bucket list). I'm planning to retire to Mountain City, Tn. in the next couple of years and just found this site. Figured I'd start researching fly fishing spots and putting together some contacts and locations. Hope to have many enjoyable years in the future fishing the beautiful Eastern Tennessee rivers, lakes, and streams!
All the best, Stan Norton (flyrod)

Hi Petey,
Thanks for the warm welcome.
I've been lucky enough to have traveled all over the world for my job and Eastern Tennessee is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen!!! That plus the "lower" taxes and cost of living put it of the short list for places to retire. Throw in the wealth of outdoor activities (fishing, boating, hunting, camping, hiking, golf, etc.) and my wife and I were sold.
We're looking forward to making many short vacation trips to the area until we finally retire and relocate. Hopefully, I'll have a chance to hook up for some fishing with a few of the members on the board. As we all know local knowledge is key when it comes to fishing!
To everyone on the board, have a joyous holiday season with your family and friends!
All the best, Stan
