"There was once a dream that was Frostbite. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish... it was so fragile. And I fear that it will not survive the winter." The first to tell me where I stole this quote (the only word that has been changed is the word Frostbite), then a door prize will await you at said event..... Let us talk.... Frostbite. Petey

"There was once a dream that was ROME, you could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish. It was so fragile and I fear that it will not survive the winter."
Spoken by Sir Richard Harris as the aging Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius in the move Gladiator.
PS: Frostbite fishing for frisky fat fighting fish ... FANTASTIC!!!

I say post some dates and see who's ready ;D i love the idea of a Frostbite. It has always been my favorite of our board trips. I will try to make it regardless of when it will be, but i'm kinda in the same boat as Varmit between surgeries , pneumonia and family emergencies late times have been rough lately. That is why i haven't hardly posted on the board in a couple of months Fishing in the snow ......Tentwing

Hate to hear that TW... It seems it has been a year of fishing frustration for many of our board members. Hope you can find the time to get frostbit! Petey

Excellent flyrod... Love that movie. It is one of my favorites. I find myself putting it in at least a couple of times a month for another watch. Petey

Let me go ahead and state for the record that I will not be at the frostbite. Being a one armed bandit is one thing, but being a one armed bandit on ice and snow is another. I guess I will have my own unless we plan a spring fling sometime in mid to late april. Don't think I have ever missed a frostbite, but outside of a miracle...I will not be stalking any stock trucks.

I am game for whatever. Traditionally we have done the Nantahala DH or the Cherokee Trophy water. I am game for whatever. If the crew wants to the SoHo then so be it. For me the Frostbite, is all about a good fire and laughter after a day freezing your keester off.

Not to move anyones thoughts in a particular direction, but if the frostbite is in mid march or thereafter...i might be in. No for sure thing, but my visit with the doctor today puts me in line for a trip to the water a little sooner than first thought.

Odds are I will not be there...but good grief!!! is there anyone left on this forum? Used to be that the mere mention of the frosty treat known as the ETFFF frostbite would bring folks out of the woodwork....now it seems as the woodwork is a pine box. Listen....I may come whether I can fish or not, but we gotta have a more enthusiastic showing that a smattering of die hards.....
