Well guys, I won the contest. Feet have yet to touch down. I will be fishing Yellowstone with members of the Trout Unlimited national offices, The Yellowstone Park foundation, and Steve Zakur who is a blogging buddy of mine. We will be staying at a lodge that is on the border of The Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone, working with TU to eradicate the Lake Trout, and fishing...a lot. I also won a ton of gear from Simms who also sponsored the contest. To have been picked out of all the nationwide entries by a panel of judges from each of the afore mentioned groups and companies is quite an honor. Expect a bunch of Yellowstone posts in the coming months.

. ... SWEET .............. Make sure to take several memory cards for your camera and fill them all up. You will be amazed at the things you forget after your trip that come back to life while looking at your pictures. There is just that much to see out there. Congrats again Tentwing

Thanks Gary. Now I just gotta figure out how to pay for my flight to and from! Cheapest I have found is 600.00 and that kinda money is not an easy grab at The House of Payne.

Thanks Jay. Good to see you on here again.
One story that really makes this trip extra cool.....
About 2 years ago when I started writing The Perfect Drift I had a guy start reading me named Steve Zakur who writes another blog called Sipping Emergers. We would trade emails and I.M. from time to time and over the course of a few months we struck up a good friendship. We had talked quite a bit about working up a trip together as he does a lot of business in the Southeast through the year (he is from the Northeast)...anyway, we have never been able to put things together.
The contest had multiple entries from folks all over but they were only taking the two best entries. I was lucky enough to win one of them....and Steve won the other one! So....we are going to get that fishing trip together....its just not going to be on the SoHo as we had planned. It seems that fate has thought it would be better for us to meet up a little further west. ;D
