Okay guys. Brown Trout Lodge is out. The guy double booked for the same date and we got bumped. Lets just say that he was made very aware of my displeasure...multiple times. So, here is where we are. We are now camping. The location is Cherokee Trails Campground. No deposit needed (Gary I will just hold onto your check when it comes). Everyone will need to bring a twenty dollar bill to cover the campsite for the weekend. Quite a bit cheaper.... We have two spots reserved. they are 50'x40' spots. Firepits, a bathhouse with hot showers and toilets. You will need to make your own sleeping arrangements in the form of tent or lean to if you really want that old fashioned wilderness experience. Here is a link. www.cherokeetrailscampground.com/campground.html

I have a Big Agnes Big House 6, but it really sleeps 4... We can use it. I also have my 2 man Sierra Design that I will bring to stay in. If everybody has shelter from the storm let me know. You guys are on your own when it comes to air mattresses and bed rolls. Easter, you bringing that camper of yours? Petey

Def can't argue with the price, especially with current gas prices. I have plenty of tents if any one needs as well...i think I'm gonna pull a page from Marmot's art of survival guide and do the sleep in the back of the car thing. Lay the seats down and just enough room to stretch out in the Jeep. Besides, I really don't relish the thought of Brad full of bing cherries wanting to spoon someone in the middle of the night when it get chilly... ;D

Yep, liking this old school camping plan. Just no rain. Might bring up the smoker and throw some tenderloins on, wrapped in bacon and center lined with blue cheese. If anybody wants to that for dinner Saturday night let me know and I will get enough for the gang.

Hey Fellers,
Bad run of luck past month or so. My boys lost a good friend to an accident out on the farm and it was a 3 week struggle on life support that came to a sad end last week. That said, we are blessed, thankful for having had a friend and looking forward.
Our ETFFF has come through for me and mine before as it does now, so looking forward to bending a rod with you on the So-ho. Closest I've been to a face to face report on the Wyoming Varmit run was about 40 miles. Need to do that and fish in a bad way. I hit the Caney for an hour in August after a day in Music City, one run to Tremont for a couple of hours and one drift down the Clinch has been it for my summer.
I reckon I can find this place if I wander around Upper East Tennessee a little. One of my two favorite things to do in the fall. (a hook set being the first). Count me in and let's hangabiggun!

E.L.
Good to hear your gonna make it to the Fling.
It troubles me to hear of the loss your family has suffered. How fortunate we are to have had people in our lives of such great character that when we lose them we have truley suffered a loss.
Fond remebrance is good for the soul, and truley honors the lost.
I may, or may not be healthy enough to fish when the Fling comes, but I will be proud to stand in the water beside all of you none the less............Tentwing
