I got talked into buying a new smoker by my wife. She said that tending the fire on the offsets every cook, was wearing me down. She wanted me to get a BGE but I cannot justify the cost. But I checked into the CharGriller Kamado style cooker know as the Akorn and that one fit my budget. I am still gonna use my offsets but I have to say, there is something cool about setting up a smoker and just leaving it to do it's work. I put on some Boston Butts at 7pm and went to bed. Got up at 1:30am and checked them.They were within 5* of being done. I was back in bed at 2:30am. I got back up at 5:30am and puleed them into shreds.My good job.
