Hello all! I just moved to Knoxville a month or so ago after a couple years in Athens Ga. Before that I lived and fished in Oregon for the past 10 years.
Excited to fish eastern TN rivers and streams, have already made it to the smokies, which was great, the Clinch....which presented issues of access when fishing from the bank.....and was hoping to head to the South Holston this weekend but the rain is making things look dire.
Look forward to meeting some of you on the rivers around here, and hoping for tips/advice! Thanks....
Cheers, Andrew

Welcome to the board Andrew I spent a few years in Athens myself. As for the tailwaters here they can be great and when the water doesn't coperate they can be heartbreaking. The South Holston ( aka The SoHo ) has pretty consistant hatches. and lots of good healthy fish. However it can be tricky, and high water can make it a boat only river at times. As for flies it is hard to go wrong with thread midges and small PT's near the bottom under an indicator. Tentwing
